Susan Schmidt has been a researcher in the field of complementary medicine and new health technologies for the past 20 years; she now consults with individual clients and business and nonprofit organizations. Susan holds a master’s degree in Library and Information Science and, working with a neuroscientist and molecular biologist, has spent the past three years studying adult stem cell treatments and research; she believes that stem cell research holds the key to the future of medicine. She writes the free bi-monthly electronic newsletter “Medicine for a New Era,” which reports the latest medical news about longevity and anti-aging treatments. For her clients, Susan creates an individualized package of suggested diagnostic tools and tests, then walks them through obtaining and organizing their health information. As an invited speaker, Susan has lectured to a wide variety of groups about the future of medicine, stem cells, and anti-aging breakthrough technologies.
Heidi Iratcabal, N.D., has been in a consulting practice for seventeen years. She holds a Doctor of Naturopathy degree from Clayton College as well as a Masters degree in Natural Health. She is currently completing her Certification for Functional Medicine Practitioner through the Institute for Functional Medicine. “Dr. Heidi” has been consulting with Medicine for a New Era to provide insight into anti-aging strategies and to help develop personalized health management tools to foster optimum health and well-being.
A former internationally competitive athlete in two different disciplines (heptathlon and bicycle racing), Dr. Iratcabal knows that competing in such grueling sports at this level has given her a keen perspective on proper diets and lifestyle choices that not only affect our pure enjoyment of life but result in the gentle aging we all hope to find.
